The Rustic Aurora Lodge is a great space for entertaining family or friends! It is the perfect retreatIt is a 2,500 sq ft log home with an open floor concept plan.
The lodge has all the amenities for the perfect Alaskan retreat! The main floor is open with a kitchen, dining, and 2 living room areas, including a fireplace and TV. Two bedrooms are on the main floor with a 700 sq ft loft bedroom open to below.
During the winter months, you can catch a ride with a local dog musher, ice fish on the frozen river below, view the Aurora, sled down the hillside, bake inside, play board games, and enjoy views of Denali or the river.
During the summer months, take a stroll down town Nenana to visit the historic sites, Railroad Museum, Ak Rustic Co. for ice cream, floats, or trendy clothing, learn about the Ice Classic tripod, walk the river bank, eat at the local cafe, grab a tasty burger at the Monderosa, and more!

Nenana Historic Town Sites
From the historic Railroad Museum to Indigenious Alaska of locally made Athabaskan Alaska Native art, to the Episcapal Church and Centennial Square, you'll fall in love with this historically rich town. Learn more about the history of Nenana by from the 1925 serum run to the Athabaskan Natives to the Alaska Railroad. Be sure and grab a map of the town at one of the local shops. You won't wan to miss the all that Nenana has to offer!
Hikes & Nature
Hike the Nenana Hill to the top or walk the trails down by the riverside, you'll find plenty of opportunities to be with nature in Nenana. Or grab lunch at a local restaurant and have a picnic down by the river. Be sure and dig your feet in the glacial silty sand for a truly spa-like experience.
